Gareth is now a teaching fellow in the Department for Health at the University of Bath. The work that he conducted on his PhD focused on military veterans and the use of sport in their recovery. Of interest to him, were the organizational demands placed upon veterans when engaging with recovery organizations (e.g., Help for Heroes / Invictus Games). The findings of the PhD contributed to the practices of a National Sports Recovery pathway designed for wounded, injured, and sick military veterans engaging in competitive sport. Gareth has previously worked as the Administrator for this GW4 community, but is now looking forward to contributing to this community from a research perspective.
